I challenge the mortgage specialist to prove that there were issues underwriting mortgages in Cleveland - personal experience is not adequate.

Be careful. If they still have the strict lending laws that they have had in the last couple of years, then it may be very tough to find a mortgage in city limits. Most mortgage companies stopped lending in Cleveland awhile back because they put such strict lending guidelines in place and lenders no longer could lend there.

If these are still in place, then good luck.
