I can already play easy-to-intermediate accoustic guitar, but now I would like some new material to try. I really like indie/rock accoustic songs, but I need some ideas for which ones I could possibly play. Also, any ideas on sits that I can get good guitar tabs or sheet music for free?

Hi,
I would recommend Matchbox 20. I don't know if they're indie/rock (I have no idea what indie/rock is) but some of their songs were my mainstay on the acoustic as I learnt, and I still pull them out today.

Try their slower songs such as hang, long day etc from their first album.

Also most of Oasis's songs are pretty easy on the acoustic (everybody got sick of me thrashing Wonderwall).

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com is the best site generally, but I just search google for particular songs.

If it doesn't sound right, try and find another tab, or better yet, a live music video.

In my years of playing I've only ever found a handful of tabs that are completely right, and many that are completely wrong.

Good luck.

Dont Look Back In Anger. The first chords I learned in guitar, and in my opinion the best of Oasis songs.

look for Indigo Girls. They have fairly easy melodies. But they are often two parted.
try here for some more ideas.
