If you have windows xp, and you had a licensed, registered product, then you can call microsoft, and they can do it remotely.

It is according to the Operating system u have. If is win 98, u can click F8 before u see the windows 98 logo and chooze command prompt. Then u type in Format C:
In win XP it will be harder. U can do it with the windows XP Setup cd. If u have no cds, put the hard drive on another computer as a secondary disk and format it. Make sure the bios recognizes the hard drive so it can appear in the My computer folder as drive D or E. Then u just right click on that hard drive and click format. Note, if yur Hard drive is NTFS Formatted, only XP and 2000 will recognize this hard drive. If is FAT32... 98, ME, 2000 & XP will recognize it. Laterz
