I had the "baby bump" when I was that far along as well! I was already buying maternity pants in my first trimester. It's most likely due to bloating, as mine was. Babies are so tiny at 8 weeks, that I highly doubt that the baby would be pushing your stomach out already. Don't let it worry you. It's definitely not abnormal. Remember to talk to your OB/GYN about it at your next visit, and I'm sure that they'll ease all of your worries. Trust me, this will be the first of many questions you will have about the wonders of pregnancy! I used to have to write all of my hundreds of questions down, so I'd remember them at my appts. Congratulations and best of luck to you!

Some women show earlier than others so yes it is natural...and you may loose a little weight in the first trimester because that is usually when morning sickness hits the hardest...however it will balance itself out later one...congrats on your soon to be baby!

I had a bump at 8 weeks too. they thought i was carrying multiples, after an ultrasound they confirmed it was only carrying one. but I was small and a real hard body, ( Gawd..... those were the days) so there really was no place for my belly yo go but out! Good luck

It's prolly just the bloat that is common in the first trimester. Your baby isn't big enough to make you show quite yet!
