From an article that I read sometime ago, Brock was in such a rush to terminate his contract with the WWE (then WWF), so that he could play in the NFL that he signed something that he didn't read. The papers that Vince had drawn up stated that if Brock decided to return to wrestling after his time in the NFL, he couldn't do so until 2010 or either 2020. I'm sorry, like I said it was a while ago and I don't remember it word for word. The paper was created because Vince believed at the time Brock was trying to break his contract so that he could sign with another wrestling league or affiliation or whatever they are called.
