I am not ruling out your router as the cause but 1st check that the signal down your telephone line is ok. Don't settle for the Telephone Exchange checking your line at their end..the results are usually ok but this is only a very superficial check...It is necessary to check the line from the house to get a true appraisal of the strength of your signal. It could be that your line is not good enough for the size of bandwidth that is being passed through it. Even if you are close to an Exchange but the wiring at your house for example is a bit "iffy" then this can only be found out by a check on the line done at your house.
Good luck :-)
If it is the router, however, I can recommend netgear rangemax mimo...(adsl modem router..ie incl. the modem in it).
Stay clear of Belkin in my opinion.

i had a free router from my ISP and it was crappy, i bought a netgear router and its brilliant. i can have lots of programs open that use the internet at the same time and it never disconnects, it also supports UPNP so you never have to worry about port forwarding (if you that stuff). yeah so anyway i recommend a netgear. hope this helps.

It's probably not the router's fault. Check with your ISP and check your computer to make sure it's working properly.
