I used to be on Ortho-Tri Cyclin when I was younger to regulate my cycles (from PCOS) and to help with ovarian cysts. I liked it alot but noticed some side effects (nausea, hedache, moodswings) I am interested in either the NuvaRing or a low dose BCP and wanted to know if anyone had any experience with Nuva Ring, or a low dose pill???

My friends daughter is on Nuva-Ring the last 6 months..She said no side effects yet, although the package stresses to not smoke while on the Nuva- Ring. The instructions inside go into more detail........Give your doctor a call...That's who can advise you on what you should do...Good luck.......

I have PCOS too and I have had fewer side effects with the low dose pills than anything else. My main side effects were moodswings, I'm on Demulen and it has lessened the symptoms of my PCOS significantly. I tried 10 or more different kinds of pill before finding one that worked for me. Always tell your Gyn if you are getting side effects, most are really good about working to reduce the side effects. I haven't tried the Nuva Ring.
