Let x be that number. Then x+6=6x, so 6=5x, so x=6/5.

N + 6 = 6N
5N = 6
N = 6/5

6 + 6/5 = 7&1/5
6(6/5)= 36/5 = 7&1/5

5x=6
x=1.2
