Maybe you have a fear of being alone. In the beginning you said that your parents didn't pick you up but, you ran into your friend. Your friend is someone that you must really trust, other than your parents. You felt safe with that person and you were not alone anymore. The Mexican restaurant could be like a comfort food for you, that is why who went there in the first place, then wound up with your friend. The taxi was a secure place, that would take you home and the kidnapper didn't catch you, because you were surrounded by things that made you feel safe and secure.

Dreams play out your experiences from the previous day or series of days. They're technically a process your mind goes through during REM sleep to load short term thoughts and experiences into long-term memory. It doesn't mean you were or will be pursued by a kidnapper. It means that you were thinking of being pursued by a kidnapper, which could mean you have specific fear of being kidnapped, or it could mean you have a larger set of fears regarding kidnapping, or other crimes in general. (It could even mean you want to be kidnapped . . . the significance of any of these possibilities is something you're in the best position of assessing). Of all these things, one thing is certain. It suggests no forecasting or future-telling. Your dreams cannot look into the future (though lots of people like to think that. It's also fun to think about ESP and religon. You get the idea.)

Sometimes dreams don't really mean anything. Some say that when you go to bed, you tend to dream about what you last thought of before you feel asleep. It could also be related to something that was on your mind before. Maybe there is something that's been bothering you and you're trying to forget about it.

That is dream of insecurity.

Dark = insecure feeling.
Your friend = support
Taxi = people you thought you trusted

In your dreaming, you dream of kidnapper. That subconsciously shows that you there may be something or somebody in life you do not fully trust. That is why you vent out your fear and sense of insecurity in dream

I think it means that there is someone pursuing you and you're not sure of your feelings about the person. He also may or may not have pursued or be pursuing a friend of yours, not neccessarily the one in the dream.
