it always depends on your baby's age..the best first veggies are carrot , potato, parsnip, pumpkin, swede, butternut squash and sweet potato .if your baby is five months then u can also feed him peas, courgette, broccoli and cauliflower.

FIRST RECIPES

-- wash peel and chop ur chosen vegetable then steam until tender and blend to a puree, adding a little of boiled water.( if cooking in a saucepan, put the lid on after adding boiling water and simmer until tender)

-- strong tasting vegetables like parsnip or broccoli may be made milder with the addition of baby rice and milk. you can try making combinations like carrot and parsnip or broccoli and sweet potato..ur baby will love it.

TIP: save time by making large quantities of veg puree and freeze extra portions in ice cube trays or small plastic freezer pots.

PUREES WILL KEEP FOR EIGHT WEEKS IN THE FREEZER

in this way ur baby can also enjoy two to three different varieties of tasty meal everyday.. WEANING CAN BE FUN.. ENJOY IT AND GOOD LUCK

There are small appliances available for under 20.00 to make your own baby food. They're like little mini-food processors. Very simple, available many places, Walmart, Target, etc. This way you can cook a regular meal for your family and set a small portion away for your baby before seasoning or buttering. However, be careful that you don't mix several foods together until you've tried each of them separately previously. You'll want to make sure there's no allergy. If they're all mixed together, you won't know what she is allergic to if a reaction results.

I didn't feed jarred baby foods to my daughter, I used whatever I ate and pureed it in a blender. First you steam the veggies (you can put them into water in a microwave for about a minute) then put them into the blender, add some of the water they were steamed in and puree them. It's just as healthy and a lot less expensive.

sliced carrots, just heat them up in a pot just to get them warm they are nice and soft for baby. Peas, they are soft and mushy and all u do is heat them up in a pot for a couple of minutes. Green beans are good to but u will need to cut them up in small pieces.u can buy all of these things already prepared in the can or container so u dont have to cut them and really cook them yourself.

I made squash, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, and broccoli. I cut them into small pieces and boiled them. Then I just through them into the food processor (you can use a blender if you don't have a food processor) and then put them into ice cube trays.

I also made pears, apples, bananna, grapes, and melon, but you asked about vegetables.
