if you want something generally flattering on everyone, go for a slightly flared dark wash. dark wash is slimming and looks more sophisticated. lighter wash works better on younger people (under 30) if you're pretty skinny, you could pull off the skinny jean (straight leg) and apparently it's pretty "in" right now.

I personally love flare leg, in dark wash. Why, because I like the feeling of flare leg pants. And the dark wash helps me look slimmer. I cant stand straight legged pants. I wore them too much as a kid and now I hate them. Unless they are a boot cut leg, then I may make it an acception.

Flare leg and dark wash. I like the look of flared leg, and dark wash seems to last longer.

whatever you like...
i like not-too-flared legs... and in dark wash. light wash is good too.. but i don't own any really light wash. and i would like to buy some straight leg skinny jeans but i don't have any nice shoes to go with it.. i think flares can go with more outfits and they're more casual.

both kinds are great! I have all different kinds of jeans in all different colors. but it depends on your body shape which color you want to do. if you want to hide more then do dark. but if you have nothing to hide then light is fine too! and only some people can pull off straight leg. just try on a few pairs and see if they look good on your body type or not. and make sure they dont look like the jeans that moms used to wear in the 90s with the extremely high waist. haha GOOD LUCK!

flare and medium wash!
i love flared jeans, never ever will you find me wearing jeans that arent flared unless its a pair of capris. any pants i own have to be flared at the bottom and actually the color doesnt really matter to me, but i love it if they have cute back pockets!!!

it depends,
Body type: Petite,thin.
Light washes makes you look like u have curves, and skinny jeans make you look pencil thin so flare/bootcut would be better.

Body type: Curvy
Dark washes make you look slimmer. Wide flare evens out broad shoulders.
