Since the density of water is 1, then the displacement mass equals the density or 1.5kg/cm3. Which was the pupose for putting in water.

The density would be the same because the water works against the force of gravity and raises the object.

Agree with James. The volume is 500 cm3, the weight is 2000g, so density is 4g cm3
