Of course it has!! You'd have to be living in a cave in the mountains not to realize that!! The technology has made the information highway available to everyone!! We can now buy, sell, trade, seek information, give information, advertise our talents, and do just about anything else imaginable with the Internet, and we have just begun to unravel all of its power.

Chow!!

Yes I think the internet has changed peoples lives. Now so much information is available that before may have been harder to find. People are using the internet to make their lives easier, paying bills, online banking, meeting people, finding information, even finding love. I met my husband online and moved to Italy. I have met other expats in the area also on the internet. I use the internet to prepare lesson plans for teaching english.

as a MBA student is has as I do not need to hit a library and spend hours looking up peer review magazines and papers using online databases such as LIRN
also one can find answers to many topics by a simple or some times not to simple web search.

in banking it changed a lot as well as web banking provided by the bank is easy and saves time and removes a lot of work such as reoccurring payment set to auto and not having to fill out reoccurring information every month for variable bills

in communication it changed a lot as people now write through email Those who use to write letters and send photos now send then Through almost instantly in stead of a few days to a week and in international mail which use to take weeks to months to receive

it blew away pen pal letters as now it so easy to meet people all across the world using instant messenger programs

Changed the way some people date as the Internet can be a way to people can get to know each other better so not to rush a relationship with sexual pressure

in business it allows for digital downloads which saves the company printing packaging and distribution and retail costs and also allows a full demographic of it customers which add a small cost but also a large benefit for a company’s marketing department and a digital download

The average company income from a retail product is often less then 1/2 of the retail cost, which is why digital down loads should also be cheaper to the consumer

as a 11 dollar product to make become a 14 dollar product after packaging then 15 dollar product to mail to a distributor the distributor now make 4 dollars bring it 20 the it goes to the store which now sells for 29.95 dollars or 24.95 on sale.

yes because in so many ways has the internet changed the ways that we interact with people. We no longer can have face to face conversations with the internet. Instead people use easy alternatives, like e mail or IM. But you never get the same experiences as you would with face to face.
Also people become more secluded with the internet, when they spend hours upon hours playing games, writing e mails, writing on message boards...
so i would say that yes...the internet has changed peoples lives.

It has made it very convenient to keep track of my old professors (some of whom are not really old) and to find information for my research papers...

In one of my 35 page research papers I made a conclusion after viewing all available data on the subject and had typed up the final draft when new information came out to totally turn my conclusion around 180 degrees.. ON THE DAY IT WAS DUE!!! and about 30 minutes before class time!! I added the info and a new conclusion as an addendum to the original with explanation as to the changes...

OH! and.. *GriN* I met my wife online.

Hi :)

I think the internet has changed all our lives -- globally, socially, and economically. On the one hand, we are privy to a world of information at our fingertips, yet on the other, children are falling prey to predators, too much misinformation is diseminated quicky, often quoting rumors as fact, and identity thieves are everywhere.

It has definaltey changed people's lives -- I'm just not always sure it is for the better.

Yes, in ways we can't even fathom..just look at it this way, your using the internet to ask people if it has changed thier lives...something you wouldn't be able to do without, atleast not with the same reach as with it.
