Grey to black stools can be an indicator of intolerance to milk based formula. The grey to black color is actually blood from the stomach. My daughter had this and we had to switch her to a Soy based formula (Nestle Alsoy works well)
Is she crying when you feed her? Any gassiness? These can be indicators as well. I would just wait and see what color her next bowel movement is, if it is still grey or has gotten darker in color try switiching her formula :)

It may be nothing. Sometimes babies can have green, brown or gray colored stools. As long as she seems happy and content, is eating normally, and has no signs of illness, she should be ok. You may want to get it check out, just in case, if you are worried.

Don't worry. If the case is as you say, and she's in a good mood, eating well, and sleeping well, then there's no emergency. You can wait till tomorrow, so long as her bowl movements are ok.

the only colors i was told by my pediatrician that i should be concerned about are RED, WHITE, and BLACK. my pediatrician said that if your child's bowel movement is any of these colors, you should take them to the emergency room immediately.
