Why do Americans shoot & execute each other?

Do you still live in the Wild West? Haven't you heard of civilised behaviour?

caria_innis. No need to get abusive. I've a right to ask such a question without being called a moron. Here in Britain we have very, very few gun murders (because we banned guns) and we abolished the death penalty decades ago. My question was rhetorical, but serious. Surely you should have understood that? Don't be abusive.

question needs to be precised.

Execution seems to refer to use of the death penalty... Are you asking why it is still used in the US? A number of civilized states still use it, not only the US. And large chunks of the population of states that no longer do regard abolition as a bad idea that should be reversed.

Reference to shooting and the wild west seems to refer to plain old murder... and that is even less of a specifically American thing... and still is practiced in all civilizd countries, and even by very civilized and genteel people

I am not sure at all that life imprisonment in more civilized than capital punishment... what's you "civilised" solution to crime and anti social behavior already?

Americans are not the only people that kill eachother you moron. Do you read the papers and watch the news? Apparently you don't!Europe,Africa,Australia,North America have the highest rates of stranger homicides.Do some reading before you say some **** you know absolutly nothing about.
