A high octane fuel such as BP ultimate or shell optimax will enhance the performance of the engine, increasing the power output marginally and is also a lot better for your engine. These fuels do not make much of a difference in a standard car but are great when used in sports cars.

Depends what country your in. UK models have an ECU mapped for 95 octane fuel (standard unleaded) so the car will quite happily run on that, however the super unleaded petrols usually have some additives which will help clean the injector(s)( i think there is only one as its a wankel engine, maybe i'll ask) and keep the car running cleaner.

Whats more important with the engine is the oil you put in it as its uses so much and you must use fully synth,

Super unleaded with an octane booster.
Because normal unleaded is octane 95 and super unleaded is octane 97, with a booster its 100.
So it gives you better performance, and better for your engine.
