The idea was to "give one day to God" which was Sunday. You were supposed to be quiet all day, pray or meditate on God, read scripture, and not do any work or engage in sports or play.

Never heard about that. The icecream was whistiling the Whacha Gon Do song by Lil Jon today in the morning.
