The repulican party doesn't even accept contributions from the Gay Republican Party and won't even publically acknowledge them as part of the Republican Party. So why be part of something that doesn't even want you to be part of?

I'd almost have to agree with Jon X, but there is more to one's politics than just orientation. *I guess they're willing to give up their right to exist* in exchange for what they see as a better economy under republican control. I say equal rights for everyone before working on things like the econmy, but to each their own.

no, but one would think with all the crap you hear from the democrats they are, there are several gay republicans that do a fine service in office, the republican party however doesnt feel the need to spread the gay pride banner over everyone, a truer form of equal rights.

I don't know if I'd call them traitors or not....maybe self-loathing and confused! being a gay republican, to me, is about as ridiculous and being a black person in the KKK....it makes no sense! why be part of a party who are so obviously so against you?

searching at what percentage Republican senators and congressmen keep getting busted having sex with different adult males, i'd say the Republican party is the only getting "gayer and gayer". call the finest Democrat senator or congressmen stuck dishonest on their spouse with yet another guy ? The main reason is because as Americans we are free to do what we wish. Just because something does not make sense or we do not agree with it does not mean it is the same for someone else.
