yes its common, ur body produces more snot during this time so ur nose and chest may feel congested. but ur nose may get dried out during this time so u can put vaseline on a q-tip and smear it in ur nose to prevent bloody noses brought on by drying of the nasal cavity

Yes, unfortunately it is normal. Something like 30% of pregnant women have trouble with a stuffy nose at some time. It's caused by the increase in estrogen levels. You can use a saline nose spray, a humidifier, stay away from other irritants (like smoke), etc. But, your sore throat is something different. However I'm not sure that sore throats are part of the same problem and so it's possible that you might also have a virus (or other bug) causing the problem. In other words, a stuffed nose on its own is normal, but with other symptoms like a sore throat, swollen glands, fever, headache, etc, you might want to get it checked out.

If the problem persists, check with your doctor about possible decongestants that you can use. Just be careful of nose sprays as sometimes if you use them for too long a period of time, your nose starts getting stuffed up when you stop using it (a rebound effect). When I was pregnant I cleared one nostril one night and the other nostril the other night in later pregnancy so I could breathe easily while sleeping and my nose didn't become addicted to the spray.

yes this is common.

Believe it or not, it's pretty common to have a runny or stuffed-up nose during pregnancy. About 20 to 30 percent of pregnant women have congestion without having allergies or a viral infection like the common cold. This condition even has a name: rhinitis of pregnancy. It can start as early as your second month and last until you have your baby or even a few weeks afterward.

Higher amounts of estrogen during pregnancy can contribute to swelling in the mucous membranes lining the nose and even cause you to make more mucus. What's more, the amount of blood in your body increases and your blood vessels expand during pregnancy, which can lead to swollen nasal membranes as well. Other hormones may also play a role.

Yep, super, super common. Nasal congestion as well as nose bleeds. Hormones during pregnancy cause the mucus membranes to swell, causing the stuffiness. The only thing you can really to do relieve it is to use saline nasal drops - only saline. No medicines. Unfortunately it may last the duration of your pregnancy. Good luck!

The stuffy nose is, but the sore throat isn't.

i realized i develop into having twins at 14 weeks because the clinical docs were particular I had my dates incorrect (via scale of what they idea develop into one toddler) and gave me my first experiment. A month later, I had yet another and both twins were dealing with a similar way, shoulder/hips at the same time which made the clinical docs imagine they were cojoined. From then on, I had a experiment per week till they found that my plancenta develop into truly 2 placentas squashed at the same time (Making them fraternal twins - no longer even same, so no longer cojoined). From then to their complete-time period beginning I had a experiment each and every 2 weeks. For me it develop into magnificent, because it develop into so reassuring to work out them shifting round and 'waving' at me. they at the on the spot are 28 years previous. both were ideal at beginning and went through the conventional adolescents ailments. The youngest (through 2 minutes) had listening to complications that were cured through using grommets (tubes in the ears) and both graduated from college. They both carry truly good jobs (unusually, interior a similar type of work yet in diverse parts of the country) and that i'm very pleased with them. i have no longer said any complications that would want to likely were brought about through having 'too many scans'. certainly, without the scans i'd've been mega-lower than pressure wondering what on earth develop into occurring in there! For me, they were a clinical necessity, to maintain me and the toddlers threat-free. in case you want them and are presented them, or if you're in besides nervous about your toddler, i'd propose you to take the provision to truly SEE your toddler on the demonstrate screen. lately (almost 30 years later) the equipment is a lot extra present day and docs are a lot extra attentive to what's and isn't any longer threat-free for the mummy and the toddler. In my journey, my docs did in elementary words what develop into needed for my toddlers to be born safely. The nighttime earlier they were born through C section, I even had an previous formed X-ray, which confirmed one twin's foot jammed into my pelvis through the different twins head (it quite is why I had a C section!). without me allowing them to do the x-ray, I dread to imagine what might want to've got here about if i'd been allowed to attempt a organic beginning. take excitement on your pregnance and don't be demanding about issues that are there that can help you and your newborn. good luck xxxx
