My neighbor gave me a bike to ride, and there is nothing wrong with it except that one link on the chain does not move. I have tried WD-40, and also heard that PAM cooking spray works. Neither loosened it up!! Any suggestions, short of buying a new chain???

the form of chain that may not rust is the chain that has ideal care. a sequence this is many times wiped sparkling and lubricated won't rust. Even one finished with (no longer inevitably counseled, in basic terms making a factor) WD-40 usually won't rust. That suggested, use a high quality chain oil -- liquid and place one drop on each curler. that's going to penetrate in the curler and plate out on the links. in case you carry a towel below it to capture your misses and extra beneficial drops, the towel will substitute into saturated with oil additionally. Wipe the chain with this towel whilst finished. you should purchase high priced chains -- or you could look after the only you have. in case you do purchase an high priced chain -- you nonetheless could look after it or you have an high priced chain wearing out in basic terms as quickly a an el-cheapo.

regular motor oil should do the trick

after u have put the oil on there, find a branch, not too big, not too small and wack the chain (dont break it) until it loosens up enough to fre up the chain for good.

Try 3 in 1 oil. If that doesn't work your next best bet is penetrating oil (get it at an auto parts store.)

You could try some Marvel Mystery Oil or try to find an industrial penetrating fluid. Good luck.
