i need to block tickets for my travel to usa ,how can i block tickets in india?

i mean that i intend to travel on any of the three dates but i have not decided yet .i want block tickets to keep all the three dates just incase the flights are full.

You can ask an air line but your best bat is a good travel agent. Explain them the situation.

See a travel agent or talk to the air line agent. You will need an Indian passport, and a visa to USA, and proof of financial support, ultimately.

Some travel agents block the ticket, it means that they are guaranteeing the purchase of the tick. If they cannot Selle them they still have to pay pre-agreed amount of money to the air line. Usually they have to buy minimum amount of ticket I think most air line would require at least 5 ticket, same flight, same destination.

This way air line can have its risk reduced amongst various booking agents. Agents can make slightly more profit or keep their regular client happy by providing cheaper service.

This is why during the season you find every thing is booked very quickly and you are asked to go on waiting list.
