When I give well thought out, CORRECT answer to questions I don't get a best answer; but when I give an ignorant answer to an ignorant question I get best answer? Go figure.

It probably depends on the sense of humor or personality of the asker who picked (or didn't pick) your answer as best.

Ignorant questioners like ignorant answers. Lots of time serious questioners want someone to agree with them, not necessarily tell them the truth.

If you really think about your answer in P&S it depends of the asker. If you're here to answer real questions to help folks go to another category. But it's more fun in here.
