Both are very good teams. But I'm going with Detroit cuz the road to the World Series has been through the Bronx these past 6 years.

It probably will be a 7 game series as much as I love Oakland I'm going with the Tigers.

This series is so even. Both teams have a great starting rotation(Zito, Blanton, Haren, Harden and Loaiza) vs. the Tigers (Robertson, Bonderman, Rogers, Miner and Verlander). Each team has very consistent power hitters like the A's (Thomas, Chavez and Swisher) vs. the Tigers (Monroe, Ordonez and Guillen). Each team has strong Bullpens. The A's have a Full Dimensional Bullpen where they can turn to anyone in their bullpen like (Gaudin, Duchscherer, Kennedy and closer Huston Street). The Tigers bullpen always turns to Joel Zumaya and closer Todd Jones. If the Tigers always turn to Joel Zumaya that constant 103 mph Fastball could wear out his arm if they use Zumaya constantly. The series will be decided in 7 games with the world seeing The Oakland Athletics in the world series unless every Tigers starter each night can pitch 7 solid innings then turn to Zumaya for 1 shutout inning then closer Todd Jones for a perfect 9th the Tigers will make it to the world series in that case. But my pick for the American league team in the World Series is the Oakland Athletics with that strong rotation, consistent power hitting, and reliable bullpen. I just want to see a good World series just as every one else but in my mind I see the Athletics in the world series.
