2 seconds in the water - then 10 seconds at a perfectly horizontal level. After that - check your color chart.

If you are talking about the test strips you dip in to the fish tank, after you dip it, you hold line it up to the chart there will be directions if you still are not certin!!!!

All depends on the kind of test your taking. If you are looking at two lines and one is more faint, you are still pregnant. If your checking the chlorine in your pool, go with the color closest to the code.
