No. Monarchs would have a tough time migrating if that were the case.

The average lifespan for an adult butterfly is 20 to 40 days. Some species live no longer than three or four days; others may live up to six months.

NO, i guess you have never been to a butterfly museum before. haha if they do only live for one day, there would be alot of dead butterflies falling out of the sky all the time there.

No. It takes them at least several weeks to die of old age. Several European species hibernate and theres the Monarch migration.

Some do, but others dont. It just depends on the species...
