I've used both, but prefer NTL.

NTL front row (or what ever its called now) is better as you get the movie when you want to watch it (and for 24 hrs) you can pause, rewind, etc instead of watching it when its being played.

They also have various programmes that you can watch at any time from the bbc. Like if you missed something then it will be available to watch at a different time.

Each is good in their own way, but Ntl gets the thumbs up .

And yes, their customer service is absolutely appalling!!!

A few factors to stew over......
-Sky is more expensive but better quality and features.
-Cable is cheap, you get the same thing as you do with Sky just not so good and the when the weather gets really shite, Cable doesn't f.u.c.k. up like Sky does!

Also, with Sky, if your Box breaks or anything stops working, you have to pay to get someone out, with Cable (NTL) it's free!

Sky all the way. Was with ntl a number of years ago and their customer service is rubbish. 2 months before we moved house we told them and 4 years later we still have our decoder! Sky package is better value for money

I find the both good but cable seems a better choice as when ever the weather is bad or a pigeon sits on the sky dish the picture wobbles or goes down and with cable there is know trouble ever.

I have cable and love it. It's cheaper than sky especially when you get your phone and Internet with the package too.

Plus with sky you have to have an ugly satellite dish.

sky is not good value for money as you have to have the cr*p you won't watch and the stuff you really want to watch will only be on the full package which is around £40, at least with cable you get the digitial tv, broadband and phone.

Sky is brilliant. I speak out of experience re: cable vs sky. Mine was off a week ago, and I was lost!!

Go for cable.

The new scrambler boxes are out now and you get every channel (worth ££££££s) for the price of the standard connection package.

Its a waste of money, I cancelled sky movies and now just watch 315 - its free movies every evening!

Yes, but sometimes it does be alright music. I think its an interesting idea to prevent people getting bored when flicking through the TV Guide.
