how do i know a number that is listed as "private" on my cell phone?

My house phone appears as private on all caller ID's, and I have no idea why, or how it got to be that way. If it's private, then it's private, meaning there's no way to tell who the person is. Just take the call, it could be important.

When someone calls you and it appears as private it means that someone who owns a nextel called you. You can't find out who did, because it is a nextel.
