I once came across a gopher snake raiding a birds nest, and it was all curled up. Once it became aware of me, it started to leave and while part of it's body was on the ground, the rest of it was still curled up on the nest, and it just kept coming, and coming, and coming...finally its entire body was on the ground and it measured about 6.5 feet long!

Back in 1983 they brought a python to the school and let you touch it. It had been given some type of mild sedatives I believe. It must've been about 23 feet long and probably weighed about 200 pounds.

I saw a Python at a zoo... it was huge! I also almost stepped on a rattler that was about 6 ft... that was scairy
