I would defnitely restart my pc because something is working properly if you can not see your "Start" button. However, if you can try to click the windows key on your keyboard between the "ctrl" and "alt" keys on the left side of the spacebar will bring up the "Start" menu. Also, you can click "My Computer" shortcut on your desktop if you have it on there and look for control panel in other places on the left side of the active box. If "My Computer" shortcut is not on the desktop you can activate it by right clicking on your desktop on going to desktop properties.
However, best advice is to restart the computer and see if it resolves the "start" button issue.

Here's another shortcut to the start menu:
Hold down the Ctrl and Esc keys together and that should bring the menu up.
I think you may have compressed your Task bar:
Go down to the bottem and see if the arrow turns into a two way arrow, then hold the mouse down and pull up on the task bar.
If this does not work then the task bar is locked:
Right click on the task bar, a menu should come up. See if the option "Lock the Taskbar" has a tick next to it. If it does click on that option. The Task bar should now work.

i'd suspect some undercover agent ware or malware is attempting to cover it. you would possibly want to attempt doing a equipment fix and see if it comes again ProgramsAccessoriesSystem equipment on older computers you would possibly want to suitable click the starting up button and click detect and administration panel might want to be in the left column. administration panel can be hidden with tweak ui in case you've been taking section in with that.

As to where your Start button went, I suspect if you move your cursor to the very bottom of the screen it'll turn in to a double ended black arrow. When it does, pull upwards. I think you accidentally shrank your task bar. I've done it a million times.

Do you have a "my computer" shortcut on your desktop? If so, you can click it and then click on control panel from there.
