okay i have beeen trying to figure out this problem the answer that i keep getting is NOT one of the ones in the multiple choice..
solve 13x = 2(5x +3)
can some one please help me and show how u did it??

Distribute the 2 through the 5x+3:
13x=10x+6.
Move all terms involving x to one side, all other terms on the other side:
13x-10x=6, or
3x=6.
Divide by 3, and you get x=2.

Subtracting - 10 x on both sides of the equation

Dividing both sides of the equation by 3

so you have 13x = 2(5x +3)
which is the same as 13x = 10x +6 if you times 2 into (5x + 3)
then if you subtract 10x from both sides you have 3x = 6
divide 3 from both sides to get x = 2
