Well seems like at homecoming the way they did it at my high school was that a football player picked a date. They then voted the guys and who ever was with that football player was the queen....I don't know why they did it that way or if that is normal or what. The person I went with was a FREIND. So taking a friend is just as good.

I just had my first homecoming. I went with two of my girl friends, we went to dinner, and then to silky's and then to the dance.. IT WAS A BLAST... I was glad i didn't have to go with a guy, i know it would have been a lot more boring if i had to... But it depends, if you get asked as a friend, or a date, it should be fun, not proper

I have done it both ways, with friends and with dates, and it is more fun with friends. Get a group of guys and girls together to go, becuase then you don't have to dance with just one person all night. You can still go out to dinner as a group too.

It can be both! That's basically what my hoemcoming was (more of for the reason that my mom wouldn't let it be an actual date). It can really be whatever you want it to be. both are a lot of fun. Go to a party, hang out, dance, have fun!
