What has he done that is so terrible that he is mentioned all the time during sportscastings? Just another black man they can mess with or what, its annoying!

Owens made verbal attacks towards his quarterback Donovan McNabb while he played for Philadelphia last year. He then criticized the organization and it was speculated he got in a fight with a staff member. In any case, he was suspended by the team for the remainer of the season and released. The Dallas Cowboys signed him, and today is the first game back in Philly since the fiasco. Owens has also been known for numerous other controversies during his time in San Francisco such as calling head coach Steve Mariucci a 'fag' and criticizing QB Jeff Garcia. Lately, it has been speculated he tried to kill himself by overdosing on painkillers, but this is debatable.

he tried to put the "I" in team... it didn't work... when he played for the Eagles, he was disruptive, fought with his teammates and management, and then tried to hold out for more money on his contract by skipping practices... he basically left Philadelphia in disgrace... he has a huge ego..... you are probably hearing about him so much right now because of his recent "suicide attempt" and because his new team, the Dallas Cowboys, is playing his old team, the Philadelphia Eagles, today

Okay..
So one day they find the dude is passed out on the floor with pills on his hand and they rush him to the hospital. The doctors think it was a suicide attemp but he claims it wasn't. Now what do you think? I think he tried to kill himself but his smartass couldn't even do that right.

they said on the news that they found him with some pills passed out and they automatically assumed he was trying to kill himself. he says, and i believe that his manager or coach confirmed, that he was taking painkillers from a previous injury and he accidentally overdosed.
