I'm sure you'll get a different answer from everyone here.

This is what I do for my bikes. It has worked out very well for the 10 years I have been a motorcycle owner.

- Give the bike a fresh washing
- Change the oil.
- Fill the gas tank with fresh gas.
- Add a fuel stabilizer, such as Sta-Bil
- Buy a Battery Tender (you can order online for about $40) and leave it on the battery all winter.
- Cover the bike so it doesn't get dusty.
- Start the bike every 2 or 3 weeks. Let it run for 10 to 15 minutes (to get any moisture out of the engine and oil)

If you do this, you'll be all set to ride or sell the bike come spring time. I usually change the oil and filter again before I ride in the spring.

Good luck!

Drain the carbs and put Seafoam in the tank. Change the oil.
