I've tried to order comics from local news agents, but they refuse (afraid that they will get stuck with them if you stop collecting).

W H Smith could order it for you - but they will rip you off by insisting you pay them £10 as a retainer.

You could try your nearest comic shop & they could order it for you and post them to you - follow the link below

Try comic book shops. Forbidden planet is a big countrywide chain that deals with them. Should find a branch in a local major city. There should also be some independant stores.
For X-men comics, buy Ultimate to start from the beginning. I personally didn't like it, too many changes to the classic storylines (I could have updated the stories a lot better). Try buying the Decimation event. It follows on from House of M but it is very interesting. Also, try Age of Apocalypse, that's not a bad story.
Stick to trade Paperbacks (graphic novels), the individual comics are a pain to store, I think.

I wouldn't go to a newsagent, there is a chain of shops called "Forbidden Planet" in the UK which sells comics, figurines books, t-shirts and a few toys from films (such as the sinking boat scene from "Jaws" when the shark attacks the "Orca" for the last time.) and a few others, like the "Living Dead dolls"

if you go into there, they can help you find what you're looking for.

I hope that helps.

All depends on where you live really, if you go onto forbidden planet international website, they have a comic shop locator that will tell you where your nearest comic shop is.
Other than that all I can say is good luck, as almost all newsagents stopped selling US comic books years ago due to increasing costs.

Forbidden Planet and Travelling Man are two specialist shops. However any large bookstore will sell them in the graphic novel format. You can try Borders or Waterstones. WHSmiths does sell the comic versions but the smaller outlets are not very reliable about getting every issue unless you order from them.

I would recommend your local Forbidden planet or Travelling Man.

you can but essential x-men from most good news agents or popular book stores like wh smiths essential x-men is a compilation of the American comic a little behind the Americans about 70 or so behind but gives you the stories and cross overs in proper readable series, or you can go to a comic store like two in Canterbury or 1 in Chatham bluewater i also believe just check out the Internet for local stores near where you live.

WH Smith sell X-Men comics. You can reserve current issues by placing a £10 deposit. If it's back issues you're after try Forbidden Planet.

Many comedian e book shops I even have been to in many cases have packing boxes of x-adult males comics, superman comics, batman comics etc.. they're going to sell you the packing boxes of the 2d hand comics everywhere from $30.00 to $5.00 based on the shop or comics.

I used to buy Ultimate X-Men from WHSmith, but I'd prefer the graphic novels. Should have got them when I saw them in America. Darn it. There are other comic shops too, apparently there's a good one in Colchester, though I have no idea where it is.
