Im unsure wheter its a lunar or a solar eclipse but it is the one that makes the full moon all fiery red during the event. it is also called a blood moon.

That's called a total lunar eclipse. The last one was October 28, 2004. The next one will be March 3, 2007. There are generally two, and sometimes as many as four lunar eclipses in a year, but not all of them are total. Some of them are partial, meaning you can see the Earth's shadow cover part of the Moon. Some are penumbral, meaning just the outer part of the Earth's shadow crosses the Moon. Penumbral eclipses are barely noticeable. From the Moon they'd be partial solar eclipses.
