it has some kind of white suede-like material, but i dont know if it's really suede. can i throw it in the washing machine?

I do with leather and suede trainers. They come out just fine as long as it's not too hot. Just don't tumble dry them!

No...not without first calling a dry cleaning facility and ask.
Their advice is free.
Otherwise, I cleaned them once and they took forever to dry (not in the dryer) and shrunk and never were the same. I should have hand washed them and left them to dry naturally.
