I think Timex has been around the longest.
Rolex is just a status symbol, I'm not sure the quality is any better or worse (can you tell I've never owned one?)
I've heard I think it's Citizen watches that my friend swears by.

Heck I don't know. I buy a new watch every time the battery goes dead. So, I guess a watch that doesn't need batteries would be the best watch for me.... ;-)

I bought a Fossil when I was in Dallas last month, and it is patterned after The Matrix. I am really pleased with it. I mean, who can afford a Rolex?
