How do I get my kids to study at home?

What i do is threatend them, tell them that you will take away T.V., computer, games, friends.. whatever possesion they like best , if that doesn't work, ground them, they'll start understaning who's boss after a while

set a time that studying begins and stick to it,,,no tv or music, phone calls or online time,[unless they need to research information for what they are studying......
