If wil save you some time. Most people overclock until it breaks, then back off until it works, hoping nothing is permanently broken.

Yes of course, because overclocking needs to be a synchronized calculation that involves the CPU, FSB, and Memory. Clockgen is really an experimentation system, and any changes really need to be done in the bios. If your laptop bios doesn't support overclocking, you're asking for trouble, as setting things permenantly with clockgen is a pretty dangerous hack.

Between the CPU and the FSB you have the clock multiplier. Adjusting this depends on your having a CPU that is unlocked. With the Celeron M that should be possible.
