Collecting paperclips in my opinion would have to be one of the lamest hobbies ever. Just remember, One mans junk, is another man's treasure. But I've never been able to understand WHY some people collect the garbage they do.

Chess is a good game. It helps you think strategically and think well. Playing chess, learning how to play music, and learning several different languages fluently other than english will help school kids academically in math and science. I learn to play chess when I was a kid it helped me with school. I've seen other cases of bad academic students doing well in school when they started learning to play chess. For me the most boring hobby (actually a sport) is golf and fishing. I can’t stand it. It's too boring.

Collecting anything sold by The Franklin Mint -- that crap has no inherent value, it just makes money for The Franklin Mint. And they'll even sell you the display case that's just the right size to hold your two dozen Civil War Commemorative Thimbles, or whatever. It's a nauseatingly obvious ploy for separating idiots from their money.

i agree wit u, even though i dont collect stamps, stamp collecting isnt that stupid, theres stamps out there thatre worth a whole buncha money! anyway, i think painting leaves n gluein beads to them is pretty stupid...
