am I the only person who thought this film was a load of c**p? Brad pitt was rubbish that was the worst gypsy or travellers accent I've ever heard.

I agree with you! It really is a terrible movie...
I don't understand how people like it...
There's no accounting for taste I suppose..

I'm afraid I'll have to disagree. Yes brad pitt may have not been great but i thought he did pretty well considering he's American. The film shows a grittiness to Britain through the actors, the locations, the story and even through the camera work. It has so many classical lines and I found it pretty funny with its dark humour but also very serious for instance the moment where Brad Pitt struggles to rescue his mother from the burning caravan, the music to which really puts impact on this scene also plays a major contribution, I found it a very entertaining film, but maybe I would have a different opinion if I was a Traveller like yourself, I've met alot of Gypsy's so i know what some can be like but as one maybe you can pick up on the faults others would overlook. But maybe u need to overlook the parts you found c**p and try to see what there is to be appreciated, unless of course you hated all of it in which case, fair enough x

I loved the film. Everyone seems to think Brad Pitts accent was bad. Well I can tell you it was very good. Very very Irish like. I could make out every word. Having spoken to alot of Travellers here in Ireland, I thought it was great. Maybe a bit faster, but still great.

Film was excellent! Only thing i didn't like was Brad's accent. Had to watch in subtitles when he spoke. Story was great, soundtrack super and the cast was brill.

got to agree. i sell caravans and get the smelly theiving gits round every day( no offence). they aren't bright enough to organise a chimps tea party let alone outwitting half of londons gangsters. fortunately they can't read and dont have computers- unless theyve just nicked one- so i dont think my bit will upset them. anyway bads daaags (dogs) and other pronunciation was on par with dick van dyke. why dont they use brits most yanks cant do english to save their lives.
oops just read your add on bit. ther are some nice ones about too! ive just never met one.
loved the film for entertainment value though.

I was looking forward to seeing this when I found out it was by Guy Ritchie. I really liked Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and was waiting to see if this was as good. I have to admit it was a disappointment. His movies are going downhill. His good sense too, apparently, after all he married Madonna.

Yeah I liked it.
All gypos accent a differant because they dont have a certain one.
Its a mixture
ALANA.................The music in that scene is by the Stranglers... Its Called Golden Brown.
Just thought Id tell you incase you didnt know.
