Oh yes. Your husband is now surplus to requirements.

I couldn't believe that you actually resisted getting one. It will save you time, hot water (it heats it's own) it cleans things WAY better than you can on your own, you and your husband can sit down and relax after a meal instead of having to wash dishes. I use mine for the oven shelves too and they come so clean that they look as if straight from the showroom. I also put the sponges and cloths used around the kitchen sink in there to sanitise them. It gets stains out of teapots and narrow flower vases which are impossible to get your hand in, etc. You'll never look back and wonder how on earth you managed without it.
I live alone and still have a dishwasher, I just only need to use it every 4 days or so, so it's not expensive to run either.
I hardly need to heat the hot water tank, as apart from baths (and I am a shower person) hot water is hardly necessary.
Detergent tablets are better than the powder by the way.

About 25 years ago I got a deal on a dishwasher and bought it thinking that we'd never use it.
About 3 years later the darn thing broke down. I swear, we were lost without it.
Your husband did right.....you'll wonder what you ever did without one.
By the way, it might be wise to invest in a couple more sets of dishes and a few more glasses.

Without a doubt.

Your kitchen will always look clean and tidy, cos the minute you've used a cup etc you just stow it away in the DW and not on the drainer or in the sink.

I love my dishwasher and if it broke ( god forbid) I'd definitely get another.

There's more interesting things to do than wash dishes.

I missed out on having a d/w for years before my parents bought me one for Christmas 15 years ago. I love it! I still wash dishes by hand (when it's just a few). When we have big family meals, or when I start getting behind on my chores, I use it. It helps out so much. I can be doing something else that I'm behind on while it does the dishes. If nothing else, you can have more time with your family, or doing something for "you", which doesn't happen alot around my house.

I think you will enjoy it, rather than spending an hour in the kitchen washing dishes. 15 minutes and walla the dishwasher is doing all of the work. You can be enjoying family time. You will enjoy it once you get usto the idea of one. Good Luck!! I love mine!!

I also went several years not wanting a dishwasher. But when we had our kitchen remodeled, we had one put in. Believe me, I couldn't do without it now. Besides getting the dishes ultra clean, it dispenses with the usual dish clutter and drainboard. Now you can just store your dirty dishes in the dishwasher until you get a full load. Enjoy!!

Yes, you can now argue over who's turn it is to empty the dishwasher instead of who should do the dishes.

Completely transformed.

No. It's just an expensive toy for lazy buggers.
And they are bad for the environment because they use loads of water and electricity.

i got one and now i don't know how i ever managed without it.
cooking has become a plesure instead of a chore, knowing i can us as many utensils, pans, plates and knives forkes as you want, everything can go in,if it needs to go in twice who cares, its not you washing it.
anouther tip; get your kids(if you have any) to load unload it.saves you more time.make life easier why not.
