Mother Nature does not care a hoot about the human race any more than she did about the dinosaurs. Easy come, easy go.

Oh most assuredly, Homo Sapiens Sapiens will not only be around, but thriving. It is likely that we will have spread to planets and beyond the solar system. New solutions for many things that are problems now will have been found. New challenges will have come about, but things such as less expensive energy sources available to a greater number of people, new food sources, new types of medicine resulting in better health and longer lives and better education will have been developed.
Each generation will see (as many here apparently do) that there is end times or at least having the most difficult challenges, but that has always been so. It should be exciting times.

Yes probably human beings are a very adaptable species and we have 6 Billion+ people already here so whatever disasters happen the human race limps on. Hopefully though society would be advanced and more humane by then though.

i hope they are... imagine what the technology will be like then! but if they're not it will be because the world resourses ran out or a big nuclear bomb exploded, or a meteor hit the ground or the ozone layer has completely vanished and everyone died of over heating or sun radiation or cancer... (all this coming from a 14 year old girl!)
