Horsepower and fuel economy. The supercharged engine will give you better HP but the 2.2 liter will give you better fuel economy.

2.0L is the supercharged ecotech (more powerful, more horsepower) and the 2.2 L is the stock engine that a sunfire comes with

i have a 2004 sunfire with the 2.2L but i will swap it out after 125K miles...engine is too new right now to swap it out

the 2.0L is faster, and it uses a supercharger to make it go faster while the 2.2L is a regular engine with nothing speacial in it

LMFAO, did u ask this after i told u to replace ur engine cause u had a low compression? anyways, yea, the fuel economy is better on a 2.2L but they are close. the 2.0L is faster though and makes the car look more "aggresive"

They are completely different motors. The supercharged one probably makes more horsepower than the larger, normally aspirated engine. They may have almost identical fuel economy. Of course more power will use more gas if you use it.

I would think the supercharged motor might not last as long as the other. Repairs would also probably be higher.
