As long as it doesn't harm anyone (or anything) else?

Are people who indulge in their sexual fetishes considered immoral or is it simply a part of some peoples' natural sexuality that they possess, and others don't understand?

I did a study on fetishes about 8 months ago.

NO, they are not harmful in any way. As long as they are not hurting anybody else.

Some consider them to be immoral, namely those in the early 1900's, who tried to diagnose and treat fetishes as mental disorders.

However, there are organizations that help people understand fetishes now. Help them to understand that it is not unhealthy behaviour.

In my studies, I also had to propose a business or event to my teacher. Me and my group proposed a Fetish Ball. And truthfully, in the future if I have extra money, I plan to organize a fetish ball.

Oh, and by the way, we also conducted a survey on our entire class, and 99% of our classmates had a fetish, and were asked to describe their fetish. Some were common eye, foot fetishes, some were asphyxiation, and trees.

As long as they dont harm anyone else , then I would say it is healthy. It also depends on what fetish one has, and how they act upon them. Most fetishes are harmless, but there are some that should not be explored, but it would be wise to talk to you partner about what turns your crank, as they might not want to participate to whatever you find erotic. A significant other will try to understand your preferences, maybe even try it if they do enough research to try to understand why it turns you on.

It realy depends on what your definition of moral is. Most people with a religious background at least christianity take sex as a reason to procreate and nothing else. Although a good many christians do have sex for the pleasure of it, tis basic tenant is making babies. Others with less religious inclinations tend to have a more diverse outlook on sexual behavior and habits. Soooo, bottom line is, it depends on you, or the individual.
