No, Kind Hearts and Coronets, Withnail and I, Brazil, The Lady Killers, 28 Days Later, the Long Good Friday, School for Scoundrels, Sexy Beast, Lawrence of Arabia, Trainspotting these are infinitely better than the Italian Job.

I can never decide between the Italian Job, Zulu and The Great Escape (even though the latter is Anglo-American).

But I'll agree with you here because I drive a mini, and therefore can whizz round my local town pretending I have a boot full of bullion whilst screaming 'Hang on lads...I've got an idea' at the top of my voice in a bad cockney accent.

although i have never actually liked this film, i suppose it was a 'gud 'un' Micheal Caine made the film of course without him it would have been awful. However my favourite British film is Bridget Jones' s Diary. i love Collin Firth he was also fab in Pride and Prejudice.

Not in my opinion the best.....it's overated, as is Michael Caine.
However, another of his films, Xulu would have to be one of the best.
