I got an old dresser from my landlord and it smells funny. Does anyone know how to get the stench out? Someone suggested it may be cedar wood...

At Lowe's or Home Depot etc. there are drawer scents. Made
specifically for this purpose..

Try them.

I bought a dresser @ a garage sale and it smelled funny inside too. I bought the best smelling dryer sheets and then some charcoal. Wrap several charcoal briquettes in some dryer sheets. Place about 3 or 4 per drawer and leave in there for maybe several weeks. the smell will be gone. It worked for me.

The best thing to do is put a couple of bounce sheets in every drawer.
