I am so sorry to hear of your shoulder pain. I am experiencing this in both shoulders as well. First thing is to see you family physician, because at-home remedies just does not work. You possibly could have a torn rotator cuff, which could also be slipping in and out of place. This is very excruciating. Xrays do not show the problem and you must submit to an MRI in order for this to be successfully diagnosed and treated. Also, my doctor prescribed for me Moblic which is a generic for one of the arthritic medication that worked for me very well.

Get medical treatment soon, and good luck because I feel you pain.

Have you been sleeping on that shoulder. If you had it pinned, you could have a pressed nerve. If that's the case, pain medication is no use. I suggest you try to get through the night and see a proper specialist tomorrow. Meanwhile, you could try a heat pad and just dangling your arm as relaxed as possible. Due to the fact that the area for shoulder pain and sleep management are next to each other in the brain, you might be having a sleepless night. Hope you get better soon!

I am not a doctor, but some of the things you described sounds like you have strained something or you could have an impingment. If you've never had problems with your shoulder before you may have slept bad and possible injured your shoulder. You should have an MRI done. X-Rays do not show soft-tissue injuries. See your physician ASAP.

Poosibly a frozen shoulder. This requires physio and possibly cortisone injections. It can be because of carrying a heavy handbag, children, shopping bags for far too long. There is also interferencial therapy which really worked for me. Ask your GP.

Sounds like a pinched nerve or a damaged spinal disc. See
a bone doctor or chiropractor.
