Simple Red sox are in AL and Pirates are in NL, AL-NL teams that arent in the same division(i.e. NL west and AL west would be same division) hardly ever play eachother except for like once a year and the world series

what's with that pathetic-finding AL effective? you should be a grimy Hose fan to furnish them such susceptible opposition. lol Too many divisions. Too few communities in them. Makes it lots extra probably a medicore club ought to dominate 3 different doormats, sneak into the playoffs and get fortunate in a good 2 out of three series. Too many communities interior the playoffs too. you have exceptionally much one-third advancing! that extremely makes the common season beside the point. does not suggestions somewhat enlargement, yet could like 4 divisions of 8 communities. You play your branch 14 situations for ninety 8 video games; different branch 8 situations for sixty 4 video games; 162 entire. Scrap the full inter-league play gimic. NL East CUBS Atlanta Cincinnati Florida long island Mets Philadelphia Pittsburgh St. Louis NL West Arizona Colorado Houston l. a. Dodgers Milwaukee Portland (enlargement) San Diego San Francisco AL East Baltimore Boston Cleveland Detroit long island Yankees Tampa Bay Toronto Washington - (confident flow them to the AL) AL West * Indianapolis (enlargement) Kansas city l. a. Angels Minnesota Oakland Seattle Texas The grimy Hose * i think of Louisville could be a extra perfect selection than Indy. To dusty laredo: If MLB needs to undertaking off the sea coast, San Juan merits a franchise in the previous all of us else. Re: enlargement somewhat enlargement now and then does not reason dilution of expertise. That argument is a load of cow manure. there is extremely some expertise obtainable. If the prevailing golf equipment had to open up their entire farm gadget for a selection draft, you does not have them hording and hiding gifted pitchers from the enlargement draft. bigger run manufacturing became specially the effects of steroids and of newer yet smaller ballparks changing their predecessors.

As it was pointed out they're in two different leagues but it seems with interleague play they should hook up every third or fourth year or so. Also, as a historical note, they played in the very first World Series in 1903, although at that time the Sox were called The Americans.

As noted, they're in different leagues. They play each other in interleague every few years - the last time was in '03. They also played each other in the 1903 World Series.

They shall, check the 2007 schedule.
While I'm at it --- Commissioner Bug Slug 's uneven scheduling, interleague play and ludicrous blackouts even of NESN's non-game material is nearly as disguting of his namby-pamby coverup of the 'roids' issue --- how Bonds, Giambi etc are still playing is unconscionable.
Oh, how I miss Bart Giamotti!!!!

Different league. They may play each other during the inter-league games, and probably in spring training.
