It was a little spur of the moment, but now all I'm hearing is that going with a needle is the best. Now that it's already done with a gun, I was wondering if any of you had any advice.

If you intend on keeping it, follow the same instructions you would for any healing piercing. Clean it with nonscented antibacterial soap (Satin, Provon, or Dial will work) and use seasalt soaks to help it heal (once a day).

Do NOT use alcohol as it will dry out the piercing and cause a great deal of pain for you.

I would advise taking it out, letting it heal, and letting a professional piercer do it with a needle.

Good luck!

My advice as a former piercer is to take it out. Let it heal and then have a professional piercer re-do it for you. When you shoot a piece of steel into the skin, it spreads it out and allows to big a scar to form. Picture a turtle neck sweater. When a professional piercer does it, they use a needle that removes the pice of skin that matches the size of the jewelry, that way you have a clean hole that heals, instead of a bundle of torn skin.

You got your nose pierced with a GUN??? What sort of a gun? A shotgun? A revolver? Good grief, count your blessings that you're lucky to be alive! (Faints)
